Holy $#&@!
Just...
I don't know.
I'm speechless. Seriously speechless.
I love Vlad. I seriously love him.
Jeaniene Frost you are KILLING me... Wow! Edge of seat, devouring the book and... it ends. WHAT?! Cliffhanger. I think I might combust. Do we have to wait a year? Do we? I think I will be ok... I mean we get a Cat and Bones book *dances around like a crazy person*, but wow. I loved Once Burned, but Twice Tempted...amazing. It's a favorite for sure.
In Once Burned we are introduced to Leila. I really liked Leila and she seemed like a good fit for Vlad. After Twice Tempted I have no doubt that she is his match. She really grows in Twice Tempted. She holds her own in so many situations and she just really compliments Vlad. She becomes stronger, more assertive, and a little more sure of herself. Leila goes a lot of change in a short time and its... awesome. Vlad goes through his own changes. We see him find his true partner and learn that it is possible for him to love someone. He goes through some life changes of his own and he has permanently been put on my most loved characters list.
Once Burned we saw a great story unfold and we see it neatly unfold and put away with a few small details left open. Or did we? As Twice Tempted opens, we see one of those little details right away. Where Vlad and Leila stand after her abilities have sort of vanished thanks to Vlad. It takes a weird route and we get one hell of a shock. This shock continues to where our story really begins unfold. An explosion at the carnival Leila and her friends are employed at. This leads to some more events I never saw coming and we see that just maybe things didn't get so neatly put away in Once Burned. In this there are lot of explosions... literal and metaphorically, and there are a lot of things I didn't see coming. I loved it! Twice Tempted easily topped Once Burned to me. We see Cat too! Then that ending... killed me. I threw my Kindle and had a tantrum that had my husband staring at me like I'd lost my mind and the kids coming into the room to see what my problem was. I went nuts... I was not ready to stop reading and I was already trying to find the release date for book three. I am always excited to get my hands on a new book from Jeaniene and she has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I have to say I'm glad Vlad and Leila are spanning three books, but sad its only three. I'm also sad to see the Night Huntress series coming to a close. I love Cat and Bones. I do hope we see more Night Huntress world books... like maybe another Spade and Denise, Ian, I would love to see what becomes of Maximus. I like him.
Twice Tempted was amazing and this is another book of Jeaniene's that will get read repeatedly... just like her others.
